Happy New Year!
I knew it had been a while since I’d posted something here but didn’t realise it had been a whole year! And what a year it has been!
I’ve been keeping this “Jar of Good Stuff” thing going for 5-years now, it all started back in January 2013 – keeping notes of lovely stuff that has happened and allowing you to look back over the year and see what you’ve done, when you might be thinking “what have I done with my year?”.
So, in chronological order, what did I do in 2017? Continue reading
I feel like a butterfly.
That butterfly may be experiencing nasty headaches but I still feel like a butterfly; emerging all shiny and new.
It’s a bit late thanks to holidays, puppy collection and generally life being a bit hectic. This year’s Happy & Glorious list ended up in a different place than I had planned but the silver lining is that I’m back in Hampshire close to the family, horse and New Forest – amongst many other things!
I’ve not been so good about popping notes in my Happy & Glorious tin this year, as I’m sure much more has happened than is evidenced on the below list!
I know there have been a few more noteworthy events since then, and I’m sure there will have been more before but I’ve not noted them. I’ll aim to do better in 2015 and I’ll have an overflowing pot of Happy & Gloriousness to list in the next New Year. (Edit: Note to self, must try harder!!)

Going back to my last blog, on 7th Jan, I was 7-days into the Fast Diet (or 5:2 Diet) and was feeling superb. Fast forward to today and I am only just finding time to sit down and update you all on my progress. Continue reading
This year, in my ongoing efforts to loose the weight I gained during my battles with Glandular Fever in the 90’s, Post Viral Fatigue in the naughties and eventually Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in the naughties/”210’s” I have started following the “Fast Diet”, alternatively known as the “5:2” diet. Continue reading
Hello old friend, how’ve you been. I’ve missed you whilst you’ve been gone.
I’m talking about that good kind of tired you get from when you’ve done an awful lot of exercise, camping, staying up late, cooking, organising, partying and playing and your body just wants to get horizontal for a good long stretch (on a decent bed) and recover its reserves. Continue reading
“Pasties and Cream, tin in the stream
Salmon and herring that sparkle and gleam.
Though we may roam, Cornwall’s our home.
The dear old county of Cornwall, the land of Pasties and Cream” Continue reading
