I knew it had been a while since I’d posted something here but didn’t realise it had been a whole year!  And what a year it has been!

Happy And Glorious: 2017 edition

I’ve been keeping this “Jar of Good Stuff” thing going for 5-years now, it all started back in January 2013 – keeping notes of lovely stuff that has happened and allowing you to look back over the year and see what  you’ve done, when you might be thinking “what have I done with my year?”.

So, in chronological order, what did I do in 2017?

Happy and Glorious: 2016 edition

It’s a bit late thanks to holidays, puppy collection and generally life being a bit hectic. This year’s Happy & Glorious list ended up in a different place than I had planned but the silver lining is that I’m back in Hampshire close to the family, horse and New Forest – amongst many other things!

Honestly, I’m not a nomad*….

…but I’m on the move again.  Due to unforeseen circumstances I’m making the move back to Hampshire from Nottingham, only 8 short months after I moved up.  The only thing I will say about the move is that it wasn’t my choice, and that fact is making packing rather difficult.  Packing to move up here was comparatively easy and a joyful task compared to packing to take what at times seems like a backwards (and completely surreal) step.

Fast is the new…. Fast!

Forgive me friends it has been 66 days since my last blog.

Going back to my last blog, on 7th Jan, I was 7-days into the Fast Diet (or 5:2 Diet) and was feeling superb.  Fast forward to today and I am only just finding time to sit down and update you all on my progress.

Fast is the new Slow

This year, in my ongoing efforts to loose the weight I gained during my battles with Glandular Fever in the 90’s, Post Viral Fatigue in the naughties and eventually Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in the naughties/”210’s” I have started following the “Fast Diet”, alternatively known as the “5:2” diet.

I’m off in holiday tomorrow morning for a week. Internet will be patchy at best so I won’t be about for a bit.

What a difference a day makes

24 little hours | Brought the sunshine and flowers | where there used to be rain

So says the song.
And it is true. A better nights sleep thanks to the decline of the cough (still there but not ‘wring you out and keep you awake’ violent coughing like before) and glorious sunshine and I feel refreshed and recharged.
